Volunteer, Officer, and Supervisor Nominations

Administrators,

Please take about an hour of your time today and nominate individuals for the 2024 SCJAA of the year Awards. These nominations are a great way to recognize your people on the “Next Level.” All nominees will be listed in our Conference Program. The winners will be recognized in front of the entire conference at the awards
banquet as well as having their photos posted in the Conference Program. It takes some time from your busy schedule; however, your people are worth your time.

Please nominate someone from your agency for:

Administrator of the Year

Dear Sheriff, Chief, or County Administrator,

If the Jail falls under your purview, the South Carolina Jail Administrators’ Association executive board would like to give you the opportunity to nominate your Jail Administrator for the 2024 SCJAA Jail Administrator of the Year. Each year Executive Members (Jail Administrators) in good standing are nominated and one is selected (by majority vote of present Executive Members) as our Jail Administrator of the Year. The winner is recognized at our awards luncheon at the annual conference, receives a plaque, and has a featured article in our annual program for the upcoming year.

The by-laws of the South Carolina Jail Administrators’ Association require that administrators be nominated as follows:

“An Executive member (Jail Administrator) in good standing may be nominated for this award by a fellow Jail Administrator, their Sheriff, Chief of Police, or City/County Administrator.”

Often our Command Staff Members and upper-level supervisors do not receive recognition, even though they have been extraordinary in their service. If you feel that your Jail Administrator goes above and beyond their call of duty and is deserving of recognition by their peers.
